形態特徵

• Shrubs; branches and branchlets pubescent.
• Leaves coriaceous, narrowly oblong or narrow elliptic, 10–15 cm long, 3–5 cm broad; base cuneate, apex long attenuate-acuminate; upper surface sparsely hirsute on midrib, lower surface densely pubescent; secondary veins 5 or 6 pairs, veinlets reticulate, with intercostal; stipules narrowly deltate, ca. 2 mm long, hirsute, caducous in age; petioles densely hirsute, 10–13 mm long.
• Inflorescences axillary heads, peduncle 3–5 mm long; flowers subsessile. Calyx campanulate, 4–5 mm long, pubescent outside, lobes 5, ca. 0.5 mm long. Corolla salverform, ca. 12 mm long, tube pubescent except at base inside, from one-third upwards pubescent outside, lobes 5, ca. 3 mm long. Stamens 5, sessile, anthers oblong, ca. 2 mm long, pubescent on suture. Style filiform, ca.10 mm long, stigma 5-branched.
• Drupe globose, ca.6 mm. in diam., glabrous. Seeds 5.

• 台灣 : at medium elevations in the northern part.
• 世界 : Japan.
